Ronald Reagan A Time for Choosing
Braced with his storytelling
techniques, the 40th president focused on the growth of the States;
negotiating on federal spending, government initiatives with crucial unintended
consequences, and the hand of the government getting more involved into various
aspects of the citizens. Towards the end
of the speech, he addressed the Cold War and the drift between the States and
Soviet communism (Goettler, n.d.). However, this address is popularly known for
his closing remarks about the cold war rather than the contents of the entire
speech which surrounded development and government policies to enhance economic
growth from the citizen’s level.
