Abraham Lincoln at the Legendary Lincoln – Douglas Debate




 Lincoln is seen reasoning with the citizens in one of the seven debates that he held alongside his opponent Stephen A. Douglas. His bold stature affirmed his belief in the emancipation of the black community. He addressed crucial aspects concerning slavery, the citizen’s rights, and the legal status of “blacks” It was from these debates that Lincoln’s stand and arguments regarding the morality of slavery were cemented (Onion et al., 2021).
